Diary - 14 weeks to go!
Time to adjust the budget. Again!
Date: 30-01-03
Spoke to the stationers again today, to tell them roughly how many we wanted. I spoke to the
girl there about prices, quantities, more samples they could send us, and a load of other
mind-numbingly boring details that one has to go through when ordering stationary. I won't
bore you further with it.
But it does mean that we have to tweak the budget again. Ah well. You only get married
once.
I phoned the church up, too, to see when the florist could check the place out. Looks like it's
free most Saturdays, so we'll have to get round to ringing her sometime soon to arrange a time.
Ooooh!.... I received a sample of the-thing-we're-not-going-to-mention today.
We both thought it was excellent, so we set up the full order when we (eventually) got home from
work. After a snowball fight, though, what with most of Cambridgeshire being under 4" of snow
(Katherine took 3 hours to travel 12 miles by car - of all the days when she had to take the
car, it had to snow!). We got pulvarised by the Canadian bloke next door - we think he had an
unfair familiarity with the snow.

Where's our stationary?
Date: 28-01-03
Been thinking that the stationary people should have got back to us by now. It's been over a
week since I sent them the wording....so I phoned them up.
Bit of a cock-up really - they missed my email so hadn't actually got round to doing anything.
The bloke was really apologetic and said he'd see if he could email us something by the end
of the day. By 5pm, I had a pdf version of our invites :) Nice.
I printed them off, cut them to the size we're going to have them, and then took them to show
Katherine. She was as pleased about them as I was. WooHoo! I'd better get round to ringing
them up about it all, seeing as they want rough numbers and I want to know more about prices.

Rings. Scarey (for Katherine)
Date: 25-01-03
Popped into the jewelers we bought the wedding rings from today. Thought we'd better check out
how soon before the wedding we should leave it before sending my ring back to get enlarged by
½ a size. They'd send it back to their workshop, so we should have it back in five days,
which seems ok.
We also asked them about getting Katherine's engagement and wedding rings cleaned (yes, the
wedding ring needs cleaning already - she's playing with it constantly. Well, maybe not
constantly, but quite a lot). No problem at all. Except they suggested that Katherine
should send her ring to the workshop to get the setting checked to make sure the diamond's
not going to go anywhere.
"What?", she said, "Be without my engagement ring for five days? Noooooooooooooooo! How will
I survive?".
I don't know....I really don't know.

Email us. Go on! You
know you want to.
