Diary - 27 weeks to go!
House invasion!
Date: 02-11-02
Got my parents and the three bridesmaids here this weekend. Katherine's off to check out wedding
dresses with the bridesmaids and my mum. Me and my dad? We'll probably hang around the house and
do blokie stuff. I don't know....chop some wood, do some drilling, stand around looking at cars,
that sort of stuff.
I'm getting them to take a digital camera with them to capture "the day", but, obviously, I won't
be able to look at them, and I won't be able to post them up here until after the wedding.
News update:
The wedding dress and shoes have been chosen apparently! The bridesmaids have chosen the style and
colour of their dresses (sort of a dark-ish blue that changes to a sort of silver when looked at from
different angles). Katherine doesn't seem to trust me that I won't look at the pictures, so she's
going to password protect them when she uploads them! Humph!

Pencil
Date: 01-11-02
Phoned the church this morning after getting the nod from one of the wedding preparation people from
our church last night. We've been pencilled into the diary for 10th May next year!
"Woo", and indeed, "hoo!"
So, it's one step closer, but I hope that no one comes along with a big, fat, rubber...

Local photographer for local people...
Date: 28-10-02
Went to see another photographer tonight. This time a bit closer to home (nearest town to our village).
After brief introductions and the removal of people from the sofa and out the room (I did feet a bit
guilty for interupting their watching Scrapheap Challenge) so we could sit down, we were in business.
We flicked through a couple of albums, talked about the venue, what were looking for, what she could
offer, prices etc. Run of the mill stuff, really.
She seems a really nice person - easy to talk to and open to ideas. She's exactly what we want. The
attitude, the style, the number of photos, the price. Brilliant. And she's available on our
provisional date. Even better! Want to know more? Check out her
website. We're going to go for the
"Bouguet" range.
She'll be about 8 months pregnant by the wedding, but she did tell us that she was working
up to the day before she gave birth to her first child. And even if there is a problem, she has
backup in the form of her partner (in the business sense, not her husband, although it is her
husband who takes the digital "candid" shots, if you see what I mean).
We'll even get a free engagement photo of us thrown in free! What more could you want?

Email us. Go on! You
know you want to.
