Diary - 23 weeks to go!
Cottages (2)

I phoned the two companies who have 4 cottages on our list between them to check availability
(hoping that last nights/this mornings info was wrong). Out of the four in our list, the first
was already taken (the internet was right afterall) the second wasn't going to be on their books
next year, the third was still available (woohoo!) and the fourth we'd gone off anyway.
The nice lady at one of the companies gave me an alternative to our first favourite, so I
provisionally booked that as well as our third choice cottage, which was with the another
company. I phoned Katherine to let her know, and it turns out that we'd both been warming to the
third choice cottage anyway. So I phoned them back after lunch, booked it and paid a deposit.
Wahey! We've got a cottage to go to!
Now there's hotels, flights and hire car to sort out :)

Cottages
Date: 26-11-02
Bit of a minor break-through with the cottages today. Searching around, I've been looking
at different towns and villages and come up with a few areas that sound really nice. Close
to local pubs and resaraunts and not far by car (if we hire one while we're there).
I checked the availability of some of them on-line, and they seemed free. I printed off
all the stuff and took it home to Katherine. We talked it over, got a little bit closer to
deciding which ones were the best - whittling the list down to four favourites.
I was gutted when I checked some of the availability on the internet around midnight
(Katherine had already gone to bed by then). My favourite one was already taken. It was
still available when I checked at 3pm. Someone else had beaten us to it. I went to bed
late and just hoped that the on-line stuff was wrong.

Picky? Us?

Finding a place for our honeymoon is proving rather difficult. Well, where isn't,
but the cottage we want to stay in for part of it is. Hmmmm...after many late nights on
the internet we'd whittled it down to a couple, only to find that our favourite had already
been taken, and the second choice wasn't even going to be on their books next year. D'oh!
Oh well, back to the searching....
