More tea, vicar? Date: 22-09-02 Took Katherine's dad to see the tea rooms this afternoon. Well, if he's going to be paying for the venue, we'd better check that he likes it as well! After a cup of tea and cake, we wandered round the place - showed him the room, the orchard, where photos would be taken, and took a wander through the Rupert Brooke museum (on site) looking for inspiration for invitations if we ended up getting this place. Not that we're setting our hearts on this, mind. He liked the place and pretty much said "book it straight away". Who are we to deny him his desires? On a more serious note, we went to see the vicar at the church we want to get married in. Let's just say the meeting didn't go exactly according to plan, and leave it at that. It's do-able, but some things need to be sorted out first. |
